There’s something special about small-town USA. And there is plenty of rural charm surrounding Buffalo in Western New York. While some might joke that these towns have more cows than people (and in a few cases, that might be true), nothing beats the friendly faces, rolling hills, and simple scenery that only small towns can bring. Arcade, NY is located south of Buffalo by about 50 minutes. While many have never heard of this town or visited, those who do leave with lasting memories of the A&A Railroad. Their annual Winterfest is also a big hit!


Eden is one of the rural small towns that you have to experience firsthand to enjoy. From u-pick flower fields to the corn festival and the Kazoo Factory, there's actually a decent amount of activity here!


Akron might not be the most boastful of the small rural towns near Buffalo, but it has plenty of appeal. Just take a trip to Akron Falls to see what we mean!


Wilson is located along the shores of Lake Ontario north of the city. And while the town itself is small, the views from the harbor are breathtakingly beautiful!


Alden gets the main chunk of its reputation from their delightful sunflower fields that bloom each season. Aside from that, this small rural town specializes in farming and, in the 1800s, black water baths.
