You’ll Be Pleased To Hear That Buffalo’s Upcoming Winter Is Supposed To Be More Mild Than Last Year’s
Buffalo winters are notoriously harsh. Cold temperatures, freezing rain, and piles of snow along with lots of wind can make leaving the house feel like an Olympic event. In fact, this last winter might be one of the worst in recent memory. But before you begin an arduous training program to prepare for the jumps, hurdles, and sprints that are necessary just to run an errand, check out what we’ve learned from this year’s Farmer’s Almanac about Buffalo winter predictions!
In any other city, we might say that last year was one for the record books.
Buffalo averages about 88.5" of snow each year, but during the 2017-2018 season, the city was covered by almost 20 inches above that on the first day of spring.
As we progress through 2019, summer will be slightly cooler, but rainfall will be lower than normal, making for some lovely, dry days to get out and enjoy everything western New York has to offer!
