A Drone Flew High Above An Uninhabited Island In New York And Caught The Most Incredible Footage

For those of us who live in New York, we already know better than most that all along the banks of the Hudson River, you can find incredible pieces of history. While you may be familiar with all of our historic attractions that are set on land, you may be surprised to learn that out on the river there’s something that will absolutely catch your eye and cause you to be instantly intrigued. Out on Pollepel Island on the Hudson River in New York, Bannerman Castle is a piece of the past that you'll be fascinated to see overrun by Mother Nature.

While the remains of the abandoned castle that you see before you today are truly eye-catching, this piece of history was once even more stunning before 1918 when more than 200-tons of powder exploded on the island and damaged the structure.

Once used as a military surplus warehouse, the over 6-acre island has a unique history that grabs the attention of anyone who hears of it.
