In the summer, there are over 600 cherry trees with all different types to pick from, as well as pre-picked cherries if you’re looking for the best fruit in a hurry. Besides cherries, this fruit farm also grows apricots, apples, and more throughout different seasons of the year. Whether it’s just you or the whole family, this u-pick farm in La Luz is the perfect way to spend a warm summer day in the Land of Enchantment.

This small town orchard has been in the same family since 1942. Bob Nichols, the current owner, says that the history goes back even farther, as his ancestors started the farm in the 1800s.
In the summer, over 600 cherry trees are ripe for picking, and in the fall, the orchard is filled with apples. There are also apricots, pears, prunes, and more offered in other seasons.
Not only is this fruit farm full of the freshest produce you can find, it's also breathtakingly beautiful. From the 400-acre ranch, you’ll enjoy a wonderful view of the Tularosa Basin.
Whether it's cherries, apples, apricot, pears, or one of the many other varieties of fruits (and sometimes vegetables), there's no better u-pick farm than this.
