This Powerful Yet Peaceful Monument Memorializes New Mexico’s Vietnam Veterans

Did you know New Mexico has approximately 75 memorials dedicated to the soldiers who have served this country? Awhile back, station KRQE published an interactive map that details where each of these monuments stands. If you’re not sure where to start, we recommend checking out the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Angel Fire.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! The grounds and chapel are always open to the public. For additional information or to purchase items from the memorial’s gift shop, visit its website or Facebook page.
