The Nancy Burch’s Roadrunner Tours Enchanting Sleigh Ride Takes You Through A Winter Wonderland In New Mexico
There is something about winter that heightens New Mexico’s enchanting setting. Perhaps it has something to do with the glimmering snow blanketed across the horizon or how the sky appears soft and quiet at sunrise and sunset. If you are hoping to build on that charm, consider hopping aboard a horse-drawn sleigh this winter!
Nothing quite announces the arrival of winter and the holidays like the sound of sleigh bells jingling. And if you can get that experience while riding a sleigh while snuggled under a blanket with friends or loved ones? Even better.
One place where you can embark on a classic sleigh ride is with Nancy Burch’s Roadrunner Tours in Angel Fire, New Mexico. This charming tour is a captivating expedition through the Angel Fire resort area and the enchanting woodlands surrounding it.
Bundle up under your jackets, scarves, and mittens! You’ll also be provided with blankets plus hot chocolate and cookies to help you stay warm in the frigid temperatures.
Tours embark three times per day from November 15 through March 15, so you have plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful snow-covered landscape.
The tours typically last 40 minutes to one hour, and you can definitely fit the entire family on one sleigh since these hold up to 15 people. Alternatively, you can also opt for a private sleigh ride with a special someone for an additional fee.
Sleigh rides depart from the Elkhorn Lodge in Angel Fire and are dependent on generous amounts of snow covering the ground.
