Celebrate National Pecan Month With A Sweet Treat From One Of These New Mexico Shops
April is National Pecan Month and most people don’t know that the Land of Enchantment is one of the top producers of pecans in the country! In fact, the state comes in at a narrow second to Georgia in nationwide production of the nut.
To celebrate this, we’re featuring a few places to grab a delicious pecan dessert, ranging from classic pies to some very New Mexican concoctions.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
Those look so delicious! Which do you hope to sample first? If we missed one of your favorite locations, be sure to let us know where else you like to grab a pecan-based dessert in New Mexico.
