Soak Away Your Stress At These 8 New Mexico Hot Springs Hotels

The only thing better than soaking in hot springs is staying at a hot springs resort. For many, the idea of rolling out of bed each day of a vacation and sliding into geothermal waters is the definition of bliss. Fortunately, New Mexico has several hot springs hotels so that you can turn this dream into a reality.

The New Mexico town with the largest concentration of hot springs hotels is Truth or Consequence, which was originally named Hot Springs. There are oodles – a highly precise measurement – of hot springs day spas and hotels there, which is why establishments in this town earned the first four spots on this list.

Does the idea of staying in a hot springs resort appeal to you? Which of these places would you like to visit?

Of course, these hotels aren’t the only places to soak in New Mexico. Here are some developed and primitive hot springs that are scattered throughout our great state. If resort life sounds alluring, you may also be interested in this gorgeous destination resort or in a resort dedicated to renewal and relaxation – it even has a puppy room! After all, if there’s one thing we’ve mastered in the Land of Enchantment, it’s the art of chilling out.

Hot Springs in New Mexico

December 13, 2021

What are some romantic winter getaways in New Mexico?

New Mexico may not be at the top of every traveler’s bucket list, but we suspect it should be. It’s beautiful here year-round, and in winter, the Land of Enchantment takes on very special magic. There are plenty of places where you can go – either on your own or with a special someone – for the perfect winter getaway. The Santa Fe Botanical Garden, for one, is an amazing place during the winter months; it’s a great place to hold hands and wander with that special someone with no particular destination in mind. Taos is another wonderful winter destination, where there’s wonderful skiing and snowboarding and some truly incredible mountain views (which are especially spectacular when covered in a layer of fresh snow). Some of these places are pretty wonderful for a winter getaway in New Mexico, too! You’d be amazed at just how romantic and beautiful the state of New Mexico is – especially in wintertime.

Where are the natural hot springs in New Mexico?

Did you know that you can find several amazing hot springs in New Mexico? It’s true! These springs are scattered throughout the state and are a true treat to explore and enjoy. Just outside of the town of Jemez Springs is the stellar San Antonio hot springs, which is easily one of the most popular springs in the state. Nearby Santa Fe, you can find the famous Spence hot springs, and near Las Vegas, you can find the Montezuma Hot Springs. If you prefer a more official and/or resort-style experience, you can head to Jemez Springs itself, or Ojo Caliente, which is about 45 minutes from Santa Fe. There are also not one, not two, not five, but ten hot springs in and around Truth or Consequences, which you’ll definitely want to check out as well.
