There’s something so incredibly nostalgic about watching a flick at a drive-in movie theater. Once upon a time, there were over 4,000 drive-in theaters around the country. Today, only 321 remain. However, a newer permanent drive-in was built in 2020 in the village of Los Lunas in Valencia County. Badlands Drive-In has 100 parking spots and one screen and, while newer, it still has a bit of that nostalgic feel. During the winter at this New Mexico Drive-In, holiday movies will be shown and you can enjoy them while sitting around a campfire.
