That’s right, there’s a real place called Pie Town!

It’s joked that Pie Town is "exactly 3.14 miles from the middle of nowhere."- and rumor has it that’s where the name originated from.

Kathy and her mother Mary Knapp are the founders of Pie-O-Neer. When they came to the small town, Pie Town, they were shocked to find that there weren’t any pie shops anymore! Three generations of Knapps—including daughter Wendi—then started baking pies, with Mary in lead as she had success as a baker in Illinois. They were determined to put the pie back in Pie Town, and the rest is history.

Kathy Knapp has been named the "Pie Lady of Pie Town," and there’s even a documentary feature on her.

People travel to this truly remote town for classic favorites such as "Cheery-Cherry" or their famous meringue pies.

They also have take 'n bake pies if you're in town now but don't want it until later.

Pie-O-Neer is located at US "Pie Way" 60, Pie Town, NM.
