Many trails have wildflowers, but Tourne County Park has a designated wildflower trail.

The trail came about in 1961 when the Rockaway Valley Garden Club decided it was important to identify the native wildflowers growing in the park.

By 1972, the trail was officially dedicated by the Morris County Park Commission and named after its founder, Emilie K. Hammond.

At the trailhead, you'll find a kiosk with information about the plants in bloom along with trail guides designed by garden club members.
