New Jersey has a host of strange sights to behold, from interesting architecture to mystical monuments and most anything in between. The “Weird” magazine collection got its start with Weird New Jersey before moving on to other states and honestly, it’s no surprise. We surely do have our fair share of odd attractions; these will make you do a double take.

Should you stumble across this cabin in the woods, you might think that you're in a dream. Located in Montague Township, this home is a work of modern art.

This massive clock is quite the sight when it's all lit up at night. Visible for miles along the Hudson river it is one of the largest clocks in the United States.

When sitting on the sandy shores of Cape May, you'll see something strange in the distance. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice it's a ship. The S.S. Atlantus was an experimental concrete shop built during WWI. The experiment was a failure but the boat was later bought to use as a ferry dock. This was a failure as well since a storm blew the boat free from her moorings and 150 feet out from the shore. Attempts were made at recovering the boat, also failures.

When gazing out upon Cape May, there are several things you'd expect to see. Surf, sand and shops come to mind, but certainly not this WWII bunker.

How is this massive boulder not tumbling down the hill? This strangely positioned rock located in the Pyramid Mountain National Historic Area is even stranger when you realize it's nothing like the other rocks in the area.

At first glance, you'll notice the unique architecture but look again; a little higher. Yes, that's a chair on the roof.

Are those parrots? Flying free? In New Jersey? Yes to all three. Native to Argentina, these birds are likely the descendents of escaped pets. The birds manage to survive harsh winters by huddling together.
Which of these strange sights is most likely to make you do a double take? What would you add to this list? We’d love to know which Jersey spots have made you look twice!
