New Jersey as a whole is going through a lot right now. All I want to do is spend time with my family, my incredible parents, siblings, fur brother, godmother…but I can wait. We need to do all we can to stop the spread and keep our loved ones as safe as possible. It sometimes seems like there’s no end in sight but we know that’s not true. The Garden State will get through this, and we’ve got loads to look forward to. Summer at the shore, if we’re lucky, or beautiful fall foliage and farm visits for apple picking.
There is a lot of uncertainty right now but there’s one thing I can be sure of – when this is all over, New Jersey will be waiting. Its coastline will be calling to us, its mountain trails will be traversable, and acres of farmland will provide a bountiful harvest.
Its cities will come alive with the colors of spring, summer, and fall, crowds gathering to enjoy art, music, theater. We may bend but we won’t be broken; the beauty of the Garden State will remain.
