Jenny Jump Mountain is known for being a high bear activity area, so if you're camping or hiking, be sure to take precautions like property storing food and making noise as you hike along in a group. Black bears are timid creatures and won't bother you if they can help it, but you still don't want to startle them or feed them!

Along with having some of the best scenery around, Jenny Jump offers some of the darkest skies in New Jersey. Perhaps that's why the United Astronomy Clubs of NJ has an observatory right at the top!

The Observatory is just a few steps away from the campground, and they often host public stargazing and astronomy events to teach you all about the stars and the universe.
