When it comes to food, there are a few things New Jersey is known for. Our pizza is perfection, our hot dogs are iconic, and few other states have such strong feelings about what to call a spiced breakfast meat (Pork Roll/Taylor Ham). In addition, we’re pretty big on bagels, tomatoes, corn and blueberries, but we’ve also got great burgers. There are several spots you’ll want to dine at, but one stands out above the rest.
A local staple since 1946, White Manna in Hackensack is a must-visit New Jersey eatery.
The tiny little eatery has been featured on big shows like Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Man v. Food and Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations.
The Daily Meal named White Manna one of the best casual restaurants in America and Reader's Digest named it one of the best retro burger joints in the US.
If you haven’t had a burger here yet, what are you waiting for? I could go for a cheeseburger right now! To visit, head to 358 River Street in Hackensack. For more of the best burger joints in New Jersey, check out this list. For a Garden State burger bucket list, click here.
