New Jersey’s Tunnel Of Trees Is Positively Magical And You Need To Visit
If you’re a frequent reader of Only In New Jersey, you may be familiar with Grounds For Sculpture. The sculpture garden is one of the most beautiful places I’ve been in our state and I’m not shy about sharing my love for this magical spot. You can easily spend a whole day here and still not see everything, which is why I’d like to point out one particular part of this picturesque park. While you can spot sculptures both large and small, the landscaping is equally as enchanting. This tunnel of trees in New Jersey needs to be on your bucket list, because visiting this park is absolutely enchanting. There is so much to see and enjoy!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. You can find Monet's Bridge by Rat's Restaurant, located on the 42-acre property. Gaze at the original piece of artwork, and see if you can compare it to the scene right in front of you! It’s literally like a painting come to life.
And this stunning landscape brings one of our favorite paintings to life.
You'll find it hidden away near the Lake Side. There are so many unique areas that make this one of the most amazing parks in New Jersey to visit and explore.
While the art is wonderful, the greenery is gorgeous.
The shady canopy is a refreshing respite from the summer heat. The dappled light creates a magical atmosphere as you walk along. You’ll love spending the time walking through this gorgeous tree tunnel.
You'll find views like this towards the end of October and into early November. But truly, any time of year is a time to enjoy this amazing park. This avenue through the trees is spellbinding all the time.
With an entire area known as the Forest of the Subconscious, you can be sure that there are plenty more tree-lined passages to explore.
And the artwork that you’ll pass by is amazing! Don’t forget to bring your camera along with you.
There's even a beautiful bamboo grove with sculptures (and some shadowy figures) hidden inside.

Grounds for Sculpture is one of the most unique places in New Jersey, and it should absolutely be on your to-do list for the coming year. You won’t want to miss any of these enchanting exhibits, especially the magical tunnel of trees.
I don’t want to give all of the garden’s secrets away because one of the best things you can do here is get hopelessly lost. Wandering around, you’re sure to find something to delight. There are towers tucked away that offer sprawling views, benches surrounded by vines where you can relax, and even an air conditioned installation or two. Another bonus? The grounds are wheelchair accessible. This is the perfect place to go to get away from it all, and enjoy some of what New Jersey’s wonderful outdoors can offer.
If you’d like to learn more about Grounds For Sculpture, view my previous article here. Sometimes they even offer outdoor film screenings, so be sure to check their website for any possible events.
