The One New Jersey Town With A Positively Magical Secret
New Jersey has some pretty incredible secrets, from covered bridges (Green Sergeant’s Covered Bridge near Stockton) to giant murals (the Yankee Doodle Tap Room in Princeton is home to Norman Rockwell’s largest painting), and I’ve come across another that everyone should know about.

Garlic! They even offer homemade garlic jelly. Producing 5 types of garlic used by gourmet chefs all over New Jersey, they also harvest fresh fruits and veggies and are purveyors of gourmet popcorn. Another unique feature is the 12 honeybee hives which lead to some sweet nectar.

The sunflower maze opens each year from August-September; the exact dates depend on when the sunflowers bloom. A beautiful place to bring friends or family, you’ll also want to bring a camera – they have an annual photo contest. Another perk? They’re (leashed) pet friendly. Find the Sussex County Sunflower Maze at 101 County Road 645, Sandyston. For more New Jersey secrets, check out this list.
