New Jersey constantly tops lists, from best schools to cleanest beaches (really!). Now, we can add another notch to our belt…if we’re wearing one. Real estate website Trulia paired up with anonymous secret sharing site Whisper to find out which state spends the most time naked. The results are in, and it’s New Jersey for the win! We’re 142 percent more likely to admit to letting it all hang out at home than the residents of Louisiana, number two on the list. Other states to make the top five include Mississippi, South Carolina and Rhode Island.

This may be a surprise to some, but I can’t say I’m shocked. New Jersey is not only home to clothing-optional Gunnison Beach, but Sky Farm in Bernards. What is Sky Farm? Only the nation’s first naturist community, established in 1932. Members of this club can enjoy a wide range of activities, social events and other amenities, without ever needing to decide what to wear. The birthday suit is the outfit of choice!

What DID surprise me is that when researching this article, I came across two other nude resorts. New Jersey is a tiny state with THREE very active nudist resorts (that I know of so far). Rock Lodge Nudist Club in Stockholm offers nearly 150-acres for hiking, swimming, boating and more. Goodland Country Club in Hackettstown has basketball, badminton, swimming pools, saunas and a spa! We also have unofficial nude beach Higbee in Cape May and a variety of nudist meetup groups. I guess they should call us “Nude Jersey”.
