Kristen is a writer, editor, and social media maven who loves her state. Born and raised in New Jersey, sharing all it has to offer is her passion. After attending Montclair State University, she continued her education online, obtaining certifications in social media management.
And I’m one of those people. High Point State Park is absolutely stunning and offers one of my favorite views in New Jersey. Home to the highest point in the state, you can see for miles. Almost every New Jerseyan knows it exists, but here’s why you’ll absolutely want to visit.
High Point State Park is also home to an interpretive center, offering a variety of programs. Visit on Earth Day (April 22nd) for yoga and meditation on the mountain. The family-friendly Teddy Bear Picnic will be held on April 29th and is an event that children are sure to love. You can find the park at: 1480 Route 23, Sussex. A small admission fee is charged between Memorial Day & Labor Day. For more natural beauty in New Jersey, check out this private nature sanctuary.
