Everyone In New Jersey Should Go To These 10 Epic Amusement Parks
We may not have many major amusement parks in our state but we pack a lot of fun into the parks we do have. New Jersey offers classic theme parks with insane heart-pounding coasters (like Six Flags: Great Adventure) and completely unique experiences (like Diggerland). Check out this list to find your new favorite.
1. iPlay America, Freehold
The tri-state area's largest indoor theme park, iPlay America features over 100,000 square feet of fun. Choose from several thrill rides, bowling, laser tag, a massive arcade and more! Not just for kids, adults can enjoy evening events including concerts and comedy shows.
2. Keansburg Amusement Park, Keansburg
One of the larger amusement parks in our state, Keansburg has a variety of roller coasters and thrill rides to choose from. In summer months, enjoy Keansburg's Runaway Rapids Water Park as well!
3. Diggerland, West Berlin
The ONLY construction theme park in the USA, Diggerland offers nearly two dozen rides as well as a stunt show and ropes course.
4. Bowcraft Amusement Park, Scotch Plains
This Central New Jersey theme park offers kiddie rides, family rides and thrill rides for the daring!
5. Jenkinson's Boardwalk, Point Pleasant
This beach-side amusement park boasts many children's rides along with a selection of thrill rides, mini-golf and an aquarium.
6. Land of Make Believe, Hope
Geared towards the younger crowd, many of the rides cater to the kiddies. A water park is attached for summer fun!
7. Wild West City, Netcong
One of my childhood favorites, the highlight of this Western-themed amusement park has got to be the shows! Enjoy stunts on horseback, rope tricks and so much more! You can also take a stagecoach ride or pan for gold.
8. Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson
The biggest amusement park in our state, Six Flags Great Adventure offers 16 insane coasters along with family friendly rides, a water park and safari.
9. Morey's Piers, Wildwood
A family favorite since 1969, many Jersey residents have spent their summers here. Guests can choose from over 100 rides and attractions and between two different water parks!
10. Field Station Dinosaurs, Leonia
Take a trip back in time...further back! This theme park is a favorite for Jurassic Park fans and curious kids alike. There are dozens of life-size animatronic dinosaurs to explore along with activities to entertain dino-lovers of all ages. Dig for fossils, participate in a workshop or compete in the T-Rex games!
