These 10 Pieces Of Architectural Brilliance In New Jersey Could WOW Anyone

New Jersey offers such varied architecture. You can find modernist works of art and exquisite Victorian abodes, often in the same town. We're a mesh of magnificent things, so this doesn't really come as a surprise, but it's still stunning to see all the beautiful buildings in our state. There are so many to choose from, these are fifteen of my favorites:

1. Carl C. Icahn Laboratory, Princeton

The slats in front of this modern masterpiece serve as an automated temperature control, responding to the sun's position throughout the day.

2. Cape May Homes

These Victorian-era gems are the epitome of charm.

3. Trump Taj Mahal, Atlantic City

A beautiful Middle Eastern palace, right here in New Jersey.

4. St. Anthony's Church, Jersey City

You'll often find that churches feature exquisite architecture. The first Polish Catholic Church in New Jersey, the interior of St. Anthony's is simply spectacular.

5. Navesink Twin Lights, Highlands

This unique lighthouse offers incredible architecture and an interesting history. It's also free to visit!

6. Nassau Hall, Princeton

This stately structure is Princeton University's Nassau Hall. Built in 1756, it once housed the Continental Congress.

7. Condo Complex, Union City

This luxury condo complex is a work of art.

8. Marlborough-Blenheim Hotel, Atlantic City

Sadly, this beautiful building was demolished in 1979. I've included it on this list so that its architectural brilliance may live on.

9. New Jersey Statehouse Rotunda, Trenton

The dome on our statehouse looks even more magnificent from inside!

10. Giant Sand Castle, Point Pleasant

Though not an example of architecture in the traditional sense, this sand castle is still brilliant. The 30' castle was built by Ed Jarrett to raise funds for victims of Hurricane Sandy.
