Just consider this trail in New Jersey. A moderately trafficked loop trail in Norvin Green State Forest, this hike will take you past multiple abandoned mines, including one you can explore in certain months.

The Roomy Mine via Highlands, Roomy Mine, and Wyanokie Trails Loop is such an interesting and unique trail.
