New Jersey has dozens upon dozens of incredible hiking trails. You can find scenic views and immerse yourself in nature, all throughout the Garden State. Nearly everyone has a favorite park, a favorite trail; a trail that grounds them, that connects them to the beauty of our state, our world. But there are some trails that are so magnificent, they seem surreal. Get ready to leave our planet behind for just a few hours…
The hike from Pochuck Valley to Pinwheel Vista will take you straight to heaven.
Including the 110-foot Pochuck Quagmire Suspension Bridge over Pochuck Creek. Completed in 1995, it made the Appalachian Trail much more accessible to locals.

While you can just hike the accessible boardwalk trail if you choose, I’d make it up to Pinwheel Vista if you’re able. You’ll see for miles; it’s truly magical. The primary issue is parking; be sure to respect local ordinances. For a step by step guide to this hike, check out NJHiking.com.
