New Jersey is a state that’s filled with people, despite its relatively small size. It is a well-populated place — and the thing is, it seems like not all of the people in New Jersey are living.
New Jersey happens to be home to many, many ghost stories. And you don’t just find spirits at old, historic houses. Our libraries are haunted, our movie theaters are haunted, our bars and restaurants are haunted, our museums … and in fact, there is even a haunted playground.
Conant Park seems like your typical park from a distance.
Located in Hillside, New Jersey the park, which is about 6,200 acres, features a fun playground, soccer fields, softball fields, basketball courts, a grill, picnic tables, and hiking trails.
Sounds like a nice place for kids to spend the afternoon, right? Wrong.
Well, fine. Most of the time — 99 percent of the time — it is a fun place to be.
The park is allegedly haunted, though. Plenty of people have reported paranormal experiences here.
Weird voices ... feeling like you're being watched ... your standard paranormal fare.
But there are also faceless men who allegedly roam Conant Park at night.
Terrifying.
These faceless men drive around in vans, searching for girls to steal, according to the legend.
The victims are too scared to explain what happened to them if the faceless men release them.
Is it real? Who knows. Probably not. But maybe.
Either way, people in the park have indeed reported a ghostly presence in the area.
So, would you visit Conant Park when it’s getting dark? We wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t want to!
