Climb 199 Steps To The Top Of Cape May Lighthouse In New Jersey And You Can See Across The Delaware Bay
New Jersey is filled with beautiful, historic places — there are plenty of museums, memorials, and more here! One of our favorites is actually a gorgeous lighthouse that’s been standing for 162 years. You can actually climb the original cast-iron stairs today to stunning views you won’t forget.
Over two and a half million people have reached the top of this lighthouse — here’s how to join them.

It was built all the way back in 1859 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

This is the perfect spot to head to if you enjoy views, history, or a quick climb.

Along the climb, you're entertained by panels that tell the story of the lighthouse, the surrounding area, and past lighthouse keepers.

You get panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Delaware Bay, and the surrounding area. On a clear day, you can even see into Delaware!

For more exercise and natural beauty, make sure to check those out, too, when you're done.

There's a shop and a visitor center at the base of the lighthouse with souvenirs, area information, and more.
It’s $12 a ticket for an adult to climb the lighthouse, and $8 for a child. Make sure to reserve in advance!
