You Won’t Want To Miss The 12 Most Enchanting Fireworks Displays In All Of New Jersey

Fourth of July is rapidly approaching and, for many of us, that means fireworks (and freedom, of course). There are incredible displays all over New Jersey…over 140, in fact. There’s sure to be a show nearby but I’m featuring the best of the best – shows that offer fireworks AND family-friendly fun. For convenience, I’ve grouped them by location.

Jersey City – July 4th

The Fifty Star Fire Show Experience will be held near Exchange Place (spanning several blocks) between noon and 10 p.m.. The largest Independence Day celebration in New Jersey, there will be live music headlined by Snoop Dogg. In addition to the fireworks display, there will be a full-scale carnival (over a dozen rides!), continuous entertainment, multiple beer gardens and more. You definitely won’t want to miss Food Truck Alley or Food Tent Village. There will be over 50 fantastic vendors including Bacon Me Crazy, Left Bank Burger Bar, House Of Cupcakes, and Try Vegan. East Rutherford – July 3rd/4th

State Fair Meadowlands is one of New Jersey’s most epic events, offering over 150 rides and attractions. There will be live music, magic shows, a petting zoo and plenty more. The food only adds to the fun, and they’ve got fried everything, from fried bacon cheese balls, chicken parm balls and taco balls to fried mac and cheese, fried oatmeal crème, deep fried peanut butter and jelly, fried Oreos and more. You’ll also find a wide range of ethnic cuisines and even fresh fruits and veggies. Ending the night (11 p.m.) on July 3rd and 4th, there will be a fantastic fireworks display. Livingston – July 4th

Livingston’s July 4th celebration starts at 9 a.m. with a classic car show and swim carnival at Memorial Oval on Robert Harper Drive. The fun continues throughout the day with an ice cream eating contest, pony rides, a kid zone, food fair and more. From 3:30-7 p.m., the Bands, Beer, and Wine Café will feature live music. Epic Soul will play on the main stage at 7:30 p.m. and the fireworks will begin at 9:15. Check out the event flyer here.

Califon – July 3rd/6th

Califon Fire Company’s 98th Annual Carnival will feature rides, carnival games, 50/50 raffles and a variety of delicious carnival food.
Fireworks will be held on July 3rd and 6th. The event is located at the Firemen’s Field behind the Municipal building at 39 Academy Street. To learn more, visit their website here.

Jackson – June 30th – July 4th

Six Flags will be hosting a multi-day celebration sponsored by (you guessed it…) Coca-Cola. There will be fireworks nightly at 10 p.m., a Zion y Lenox concert on July 1st and performances by the USO Show Troupe from July 2nd-4th. Stop by the Coca-Cola 4th Fest zone for interactive games, activities, themed food, drinks and more! Bring a can of Coca-Cola with your season pass or daily admission to gain access to extra ride time on select rides before the park opens to the public. Sayreville – June 30th

Head to Kennedy Park from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. for loads of family fun. There will be live music and free events including children’s rides and games and a hot dog eating contest. There will also be a food court. The fireworks show starts at 9:30. To learn more, click here.

Long Branch – July 4th

Long Branch’s Oceanfest is the biggest Fourth of July festival on the Jersey Shore. Twelve hours of fun, the event runs from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with fireworks at 9. Hundreds of thousands head here for arts and crafts vendors, a kid’s zone, festival foods, clowns, balloon artists, magicians, live music, and a master sand sculptor exhibit. West Windsor – June 30th

You’re in for fun at 94.5 PST’s Freedom Festival! You’ll find it from 3 p.m. until 11 p.m. at the Mercer County Park Festival Grounds. There will be live music, a car show, food, drinks, fireworks, and family friendly rides (Ferris Wheel, Wild Claw, Fireball, Bumper Cars, Rocko Plane, Dizzy Dragons, Sky Race, Tilt A Whirl, Swings, Slide, Quads, Orient Express, Mind Winder).There will be booze…and dozens of food trucks including Jammin Crepes, Empanada Monster, and Glazed & Confused. Camden – July 4th

Camden’s Freedom Festival starts at 5 p.m. and concludes with a fireworks display at 9:30. The event includes live music (including a performance by Eddie Money), a beer garden, food vendors, and more. One of the best places to catch the show is aboard Battleship New Jersey. The ship’s celebration starts at 7 p.m. and also offers live music, food and drink, face painting for the kids, and other activities. For more information on the Freedom Festival, click here. Atlantic City – July 4th

Atlantic City has not one, but two fireworks displays! Head to the Borgata at 9:20 or the Tropicana at 10. Tropicana’s 10-minute show designed by Fireworks by Grucci, will be displayed from the beachfront and will include intricately designed scenes and vivid effects including Grucci high aerials and grand illuminations. It’s sure to be spectacular.

Stone Harbor – July 2nd/4th

Stone Harbor has so much going on! There will be sand sculpting contests, foot races, bike races, a bike decorating contest, and a home run derby on July 2nd. There will be a breakfast and lunch food court! On July 4th, the show begins at 7:30 with live music and ends with fireworks at around 9:30. For more details, click here.

Millville – July 4th

Head to the New Jersey Motorsports Park for a festival starting at 5 p.m.. The festival will include live music, food and craft vendors, and entertainers. The event will conclude with fireworks. For more information, click here.
