Flea markets may seem to some like a summer thing, but New Jersey has a wide variety of flea markets that are open year-round. With the holidays coming up, these are perfect places to shop for unique, affordable gifts. Here are 10 New Jersey flea markets where you can snag great deals this (and every) season. They are listed in order from north to south.
1. New Meadowlands Flea Market, 102 Route 120, East Rutherford
Located at Met Life Stadium, this outdoor flea market operates every Saturday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., rain or shine. Enjoy hundreds of vendors, food, games and free entertainment. Admission and parking are also free.
2. Neshanic Flea Market, 100 Elm Street, Neshanic Station
Open every Sunday (weather permitting), you can shop for deals from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and grab grub at TJ's Takeout.
3. Five Acres Flea Market, 421 US Highway 46,
Open on Saturdays and Sundays from sun up to sun down, getting started as a vendor here is extremely easy. As a shopper, you never know what you'll find - they have everything from vintage toys to fresh produce.
4. New Egypt Flea Market, 933 Monmouth Road, New Egypt
This unique shopping village is open rain or shine every Wednesday and Saturday from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.. It is comprised of a variety of restored climate controlled buildings, many with historical value, including several moved from Fort Dix.
5. Collingwood Flea Market, 1350 State Route 33, Farmingdale
You'll find around 100 indoor vendors and over 500 outdoor vendors at this market, Friday - Sunday (hours vary). There are several snack shops and restrooms are available.
6. Cowtown Flea Market, 780 Harding Highway, Pilesgrove
Part rodeo, part farmers market and part flea market, you can shop every Tuesday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Don't miss the Ranch Hope Thrift Shop here, which helps support local charities.
7. Berlin Flea Market, 41 Clementon Road, Berlin
This market is open Thursday-Sunday (indoors) and Friday-Sunday (outdoors). They offer discounts to veterans and senior citizens. Don't miss the Amish vendors and delicious sweets.
8. Columbus Flea Market, 2919 Route 206, Columbus
This indoor/outdoor market is open Thursday-Sunday (outdoor market closed Fridays) and is the Delaware Valley's oldest and largest flea market. You'll also find an Amish Market and garden center here.
9. Peddlers Warehouse & Marketplace, 366 Berlin-Cross Keys Road, Sicklerville
This upscale indoor flea market is open Friday-Sunday year-round. You'll find a massive selection of sports memorabilia, toys both old and new, home decor and much more.
10. Englishtown Flea Market, 90 Wilson Ave., Englishtown
Open for over 80 years, shop on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.. You'll find 5 indoor buildings and an outdoor area offering specialty foods, toys, antiques and more.
