This New Jersey Town Has The Best BBQ In The Country And These Restaurants Prove It

We’ve talked over and over about how New Jersey is a mecca for foodies. You can find some of the best restaurants around the state, and almost every cuisine is featured here. Of course, despite having the goods, New Jersey rarely gets the credit. Instead, the state is regularly overshadowed by nearby cities like New York City and Philadelphia.

Well, no longer. New Jersey has been getting all sorts of wins lately — first, it was crowned the state with the best pizza, and now a major New Jersey city has been recognized for having some of the best barbecue restaurants available in the country.

The city came in at number 9 on TripAdvisor's list celebrating National Barbecue Month. Newark even beat out hot spots like Austin, Texas and Kansas City (although New Orleans came in at number one).
