The Beachfront Brewery In New Jersey That Has Summer Written All Over It

New Jersey has quite the craft beer scene, with over 40 breweries and counting. And it’s not just quantity, we’ve got quality – Garden State beers bring in the awards! Cape May Brewing Co. has been ranked among the best breweries in the nation, and their very own Topsail was named the best beer in the United States! But today’s post isn’t about beach town breweries (as wonderful as they might be)…it’s about a beachfront brewery!

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

You can find Avalon Brew Pub at 79th and Beach in Avalon…you’re literally steps from the shore! They are open daily from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m., Sunday-Thursday and 8 a.m. until 12 a.m., Friday-Saturday. Fairly new in town (they just opened last summer), see how they stack up to the competition! Other beach town breweries to check out if you’re spending a summer weekend at the shore include Heavy Reel Brewing Co. (Seaside Heights), Ship Bottom Brewery (Beach Haven), and Dark City Brewery (Asbury Park). To discover more of the best breweries in New Jersey, click here.

If craft beer isn’t your thing, ICONA Avalon is still a perfect warm weather destination. They’re also home to Sandbar Village Beach Bar & Lounge which features food, cocktails, craft and draft beer, fire pits and live music. The entertainment, atmosphere, open air, food and service combine to create a carefree atmosphere that just screams summer.
