Batsto Lake Trail In New Jersey Leads Straight To An Abandoned Village
When it’s cold outside, the urge to stay indoors under a pile of blankets can be hard to ignore. However, there are some really awesome outdoor experiences you can have in New Jersey all year long. Keep the winter blues away with a nice hike through Wharton State Forest, New Jersey’s largest forest and recreation area. Wharton State Forest has miles upon miles of trails to explore but one will lead you right to an abandoned village. Set out on Batsto Lake Trail and discover Batsto Village, a historical town that dates back to 1766.
