Six Flags Great Adventure is New Jersey’s largest theme park. It’s a full day of fun and you can even make an entire weekend out of it. You’ll find rides for all ages, a water park, live entertainment, and a new drive-through safari park! The park has been a favorite since 1974 and has had a safari for some time but it was revamped a few years back and it’s better than ever.

The safari at Six Flags is a surreal experience that will transport you out of New Jersey and into a world with giraffes, rhinos, tigers, elephants, lions and more. You'll find 1,200 animals from six continents.

Open seasonally, this isn't a zoo, it's a unique experience where visitors can get up close to beautiful, wild animals.

It's a thrilling, interactive adventure set in the life of the fictional Wilds Family. They've traveled the world to bring the most fascinating creatures to New Jersey.

Skilled drivers will transport passengers through rugged terrain allowing them to get a one-of-a-kind look into the lives of animals.

Along your journey, you'll stop at Camp Aventura. Passengers will get the chance to zipline over the safari, feed a giraffe, and even pet certain animals.

The camp has exotic birds, unusual reptiles, Vietnamese potbellied pigs, baby animals, and plenty more.

The approximately 45-minute safari (plus any time spent at Camp Aventura) is included with both general admission and season passes but you can upgrade your experience.

There are other options, as well. You can book educational experiences for school and scouting groups, or you can participate in a Silver Safari – a special safari for seniors only on select dates. Perhaps most exciting of all, they offer overnight adventures for families AND a 21+ overnight experience. Food, entertainment, and activities are included. Sound fun?
