2. Rocky Gorge, Albany

Rocky Gorge isn't for the timid. The Swift River drops in a beautiful fall, and the base is a deep pool perfect for jumping. This cliff jump is exhilarating but also a bit dangerous, so do not attempt it if you're not a strong swimmer. If you prefer a slower pace, there are much less scary sections of the river just downstream. However, it's one of the most exhilarating swimming holes in the state.
