The One Walk Above The Trees In New Hampshire That’s Beautiful Any Time Of Year

It’s winter in New Hampshire, but that doesn’t have to mean spending all your time inside. In fact, this is the best time of year to get out there! Instead, head to Bretton Woods at the Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods for a canopy tour that will put you up close and personal with some of the best New Hampshire sights you can find.

Here you’ll find a wonderful network of zip lines, sky bridges and platforms allowing visitors to experience the area from high in the trees.

To see what this is all about, you’ll begin at Base Camp. First order of business is being decked out with a harness and safety gear by professionals.

Next is a safety training, followed by a question and answer period. Then! It’s up to the mountain!

Up here you’ll be able to see the beautiful Rosebrook Canyon below, as well as the White Mountains.

Canopy tours run for about three hours and include nine zip lines, ranging from 120 - 830 feet in length, as well as two sky bridges and 16 tree platforms.

The course is open to everyone over the age of 12, with a 4'6" height requirement.

And, even the down time is fun here. While you’re waiting for your turn you’ll spend time on scenic platforms where guides educate their groups about the trees, animals and geology of the area.

And, of course, the best part right now is that they're open all year!

The Bretton Woods Canopy Tour is located at 99 Ski Area Rd., Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. They’re open year round, but occasionally are forced to cancel tours due to weather or other circumstances.
