The One Of A Kind Festival You Won't Find Anywhere But New Hampshire
Here in New Hampshire we have plenty of festivals, fairs, and carnivals to keep us entertained. But if you haven’t been to the Hillsborough Balloon Festival, you’ve been missing out on a real New Hampshire gem.
The 2017 Hillsborough Balloon Festival will start at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, and run through Sunday, July 9. It takes place at Grimes Field in Hillsborough.
More than 30,000 people from all over the region attend the free event each year.
There's much more to enjoy than just balloons. The festival features a classic carnival midway, an artist's fair, and live musical performances.
With a fireman's muster, a classic car show, a 5k road race, and a town parade, the event is New England at its finest.
It's the perfect destination for families, with something for everyone of all ages.
On Friday night, the festival puts on a brilliant show called Night Glow, in which the balloons, tethered to the ground, are inflated and illuminated to create a beautiful scene.
If you're feeling brave, book a ride ahead of time for some spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
For a truly spectacular sight, get up early on a Saturday (it's worth it, we promise) to see the sunrise balloon launch at 6 a.m.
Then, Saturday night, enjoy a spectacular fireworks show to cap off a great weekend.
Don't miss this incredible festival - these are sights your family will talk about for years to come.
Mark your calendars now, and follow the Hillsborough Ballon Festival’s
