11 Thoughts That Everyone From New Hampshire Has When Growing Up
We’ve already discussed why New Hampshire is a great place to grow up. The great outdoors, small towns, and wonderful people can make for an idyllic childhood. But at some point during your childhood here in New Hampshire, you had some thoughts that most other New Hampshirites had – both good and bad. Here are thoughts that everyone has while growing up in the Granite State.

When you’re growing up in small town New Hampshire, you can’t wait to get out. Until something switches, and you think…

You leave, you have your fun, and then you come home to us.

When you really wanted to see your friends and your parents weren’t home to give you a ride.

Despite having world-class tourist attractions in your backyard, somehow pre-teens can always complain about being bored.

A bonfire never gets old.

Until you do.

Or Hampton Beach. Because beautiful lakes or a gorgeous beach have nothing on dingy arcades.

There is no joy like the joy of unexpected cancelled school.

No matter how cold or snowy it was, you never wanted to wear your coat to school. Except for those one or two days when it was so cold your arguments were frozen in their tracks.

When you grow up in the natural playground that is New Hampshire, you sometimes take your surroundings for granted.

And you swear that you will never tell anyone were your secret spot is.
