Head to Dixville Notch in Colebrook to access the Table Rock Trail, one of the most impressive in the state! This area is absolutely beautiful year-round, so you're likely to enjoy the trip to the trail just as much as the trail itself.
The hike is simple to follow and the surrounding forest offers an ethereal vibe depending on the weather. In the summer you'll find lots of shade from the sun, too.
You'll also find an outcropping of rock with about 700 feet of vertical drop. This is another area where those who prefer sea level will want to keep from looking down. It's a long way!
This hike might not be great for beginners, but if you're relatively new to hiking and want to challenge yourself this is a great choice. That view makes every step worthwhile!
The Table Rock Trail is considered moderately challenging and features an elevation gain of about 750 feet. The route can be accessed any time. Have a dog? Bring them along, just be sure to keep them on a leash. You can learn more about the route by visiting alltrails.com.
