We all know that you can never spend too much time in New Hampshire. But after a while living in the Granite State, you pick up certain signs that show the rest of the world that you call New Hampshire home. Whether it’s getting used to things that once seemed odd, or losing patience for things in the rest of the world, here are 12 signs that you’ve spent way too much time in New Hampshire.

1. You mention "the lake," and expect everyone to know exactly what you mean.

2. You know which mountain trails you can conquer when you're feeling great.

3. And which easy rail trail paths are perfect for when you need a quiet walk.

4. You've forgotten about sales tax.

5. But you know exactly how much you pay in property tax (too much), and how that compares to the towns around you.

6. You've met a presidential candidate.

7. The only traffic you have patience for is boat traffic.

8. This sign gives you an overwhelming sign of peace.

9. You own a set of sheets like this.

10. You long ago got rid of your last suit.

11. You swap some sort of fresh food with your neighbor, whether it's eggs, meat, fish or produce.

12. You know where to find a view like this, probably within a 10 minute drive from your house.

Of course, to anyone from New Hampshire all these things just make you more endearing.
