This Rustic Barn Restaurant In New Hampshire Serves Up Heaping Helpings Of Country Cooking
When dining out, sure, the food is important, but the atmosphere also adds to the overall experience. A comfortable, welcoming environment can make that meal out with family or friends that much more special. Fortunately, this barn restaurant in New Hampshire has both great food and the perfect environment in which to enjoy it.
The New Woodshed's origins began in the 1970s with the conversion of a 19th-century farmhouse and barn into a restaurant. The barn eventually became the centerpiece, and a welcoming environment for fine food.
Sadly, a 2013 fire resulted in the destruction of the original restaurant. In the aftermath of the event, a seasonal resident built a new eatery in the tradition of the original Woodshed.
The current barn is a dismantled 200-year old building from Strafford, New Hampshire. It was restored and reconstructed in Moultonborough, and an attached farmhouse was added later.
The experience of creating The New Woodshed was and continues to be a labor of love. The same holds true for the menu of country cooking that will make you feel right at home.
The New Woodshed's goal to provide the same culinary excellence, superior food, and a comfortable atmosphere, all in the spirit of the original establishment.
Graduations, birthdays, and other special occasions all make for good times to get together with family and friends at The New Woodshed. Contact the restaurant for more information on having your event here.
