You'll Love A Trip To This New Hampshire Restaurant Above The Clouds

There are two things we love about dining in New Hampshire! The food is one, because of course, we have to love the food. And the views from many of the restaurants is another. There are so many beautifully located eateries here that choosing a place to eat often comes down to what we want to look at while we’re dining. If that’s important to you, you’ll want to check out this unassuming spot in Campton. From the road, it might look like any other spot, but take a step-through to the back and you’ll be wowed!

The Little Red Schoolhouse can be found just off of Daniel Webster Highway. From the road it looks just like a small schoolhouse and not much more. But walk inside and through to the back and you'll see that there's more than meets the eye here!

While the front door is level to the road, the back of the land drops off and beyond you can see for miles! It truly feels as though you're hovering above the trees and even the cloud line.

The restaurant opens in the spring and we love those green views, but they stay open through the early fall which means fresh fall foliage.

The counter-service restaurant offers some indoor seating, but we love the back deck the most.

On a warm day the breeze is incredible and, of course, those views just can't be beat.

But even on a chilly day you can enjoy the outdoor deck with the see-through walls pulled down.

And when the sun drops below the trees, there's a magical feel that's extra-special.

While we'd probably pay just to sit outside and enjoy the view, it is a restaurant and that means a great menu! From casual dishes like burgers and hot dogs to lots of different seafood options, this is a classic New England eatery.

And we love that things are simple and casual. If you love things like fish and chips with garlic fries you'll be happy here.

Each week they also have weekly specials that change.

The Little Red Schoolhouse opens for the 2021 season in May so you’ll want to start planning your trip now! They’re a counter service establishment that doesn’t take reservations so be sure to arrive early. Or you can wait for space to open.
