This Pickle Festival In New Hampshire Is A Really Big Dill And You Won’t Want To Miss It
There are quite a few foods we equate with New Hampshire. Seafood is definitely our favorite and it’s easy to find along the coast and spots further inland. In addition to that we’ve got great BBQ, Mexican and a whole host of others. But one thing that might not come to mind when considering food here in the state are pickles. And that’s what makes the existence of this festival even more special!
The Winchester Pickle Festival is one of the most unique events you'll find in New Hampshire! And after it was cancelled last year, it's back and better than ever.
Located near the Massachusetts border not far from Pisgah State Park, this little town comes alive each fall when nearly 4,000 pickle-lovers show up to enjoy all things dill.
One of the most important events is the pickle eating contest which puts neighbor against neighbor in a competition to see will earn the trophy from Mister Pickle himself.
The Winchester Pickle Festival takes place on Saturday, September 25th, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You’ll want to be there right at the start to catch Mister Pickle’s grand entrance on Main Street! For the full schedule of events and information on parking check out the official website and follow them on Facebook.
