Explore The Boardwalks At Philbrick-Cricenti Bog In New Hampshire For A Unique Outing
Is there any place better than New Hampshire if you love the outdoors? Doubtful! If you not only love nature, but appreciate learning about the land around you this trail is a wonderful option for a lazy day. Virtually flat with a well-maintained wooden boardwalk, this route is leisurely and fun. Just be sure you don’t fall off the trail!
If you prefer your walks and hikes to be a little adventurous, you'll appreciate that the boardwalk isn't particularly wide. So you'll want to be sure to keep your footing!
The spring and summer are beautiful, but there's something special about the fall. Foliage here is a perfect representation of what the Granite State offers in the autumn.
To access the trail head to the parking area on the south side of Newport Road. This is right across from the entrance of the Great Pines development. It's also about .25 miles west of the local Hannaford Supermarket.
While the route isn't terribly long, you'll want to make sure to stop along the way to take in your surroundings. Do the walk now or wait until the leaves begin to change. Or, better yet, do it during all seasons!
The Philbrick-Cricenti Bog Trail is considered easy by the Conservation Commission. The route is less than a mile. Address: 295 Newport Road, New London, NH 03257.
Here are a few other boardwalks that include scenery ranging from bogs to forest to the beach! Which ones will you be trying this year?
