Virtually flat with a well-maintained wooden boardwalk, this route is leisurely and fun. Just be sure you don’t fall off the trail!

This less-than-a-mile beautiful trail is a loop leading through the woods and a classic New Hampshire wetland area.

The boardwalk here sits on top of vegetation allowing visitors access to interesting eco-systems you'd typically only be able to see from afar.

The route is intended to be a nature trail with education on the way the state's wetland areas survive and thrive.

One of the most notable features of the route are the many bog wildflowers growing throughout the area.

If you prefer your walks and hikes to be a little adventurous, you'll appreciate that the boardwalk isn't particularly wide. So you'll want to be sure to keep your footing!

The spring and summer are beautiful, but there's something special about the fall. Foliage here is a perfect representation of what the Granite State offers in the autumn.

To access the trail head to the parking area on the south side of Newport Road. This is right across from the entrance of the Great Pines development. It's also about .25 miles west of the local Hannaford Supermarket.

While the route isn't terribly long, you'll want to make sure to stop along the way to take in your surroundings. Do the walk now or wait until the leaves begin to change. Or, better yet, do it during all seasons!
