Experience An Old-Fashioned Christmas At This New Hampshire Museum
These days, Christmas is just so commercial – it seems that it’s just about buying more presents, decorations, food, clothes…it never ends. This year, take a step back in time and celebrate the way the holiday used to be – full of simple traditions and time spent with family. One of New Hampshire’s most unique museums offers the perfect place to do so!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. The Remick Country Doctor Museum and Farm is a wonderful attraction all year round, that takes you right back in time to country life in the late 19th century. But it truly comes alive at Christmas.
Costumed docents will lead you on tours of the beautifully decorated Captain Enoch Remick House, which for many years served as a country doctors' office, and give you insight into life in those days.
Christmas at the Remick Country Doctor Museum and Farm is sure to make memories for your whole family! This year’s Homestead Christmas celebration is December 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $5 per person, and free for ages 4 and under. You can find the museum at 58 Cleveland Hill Road, Tamworth Village, NH 03886.
