Old Number Six Book Depot Is A 2-Story Bookstore In New Hampshire That Is Like Something From A Dream
If you’re a bookworm you know there’s nothing better than a good book on a cold day. These days so many people are reading with an electronic device that it can seem like the good ol’ days of turning a paper page are over. And don’t even get us started on how many people are now missing out on that new book smell! But we’re heartened when we realize that there are book stores across the state that are helping us remember just how important it is to have the real thing. This shop offers more books in one location than we ever thought possible and we think you’ll be just as impressed as we are.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
Welcome to Old Number Six Book Depot, located just off Depot Hill Road in Henniker.
Many of them are hard-to-find books. While at first glance it might seem hard to navigate through all the inventory, things here are actually very well organized.
We think it's best to come here without an agenda or specific title in mind. The fun is in browsing through the shelves to find the perfect book you didn't even know you needed!
The Old Number Six Book Depot is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can learn more about them by checking out the fun video below. And if you have questions you can reach them on 603-428-3334.
Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
