The Natural Swimming Hole In New Hampshire That Will Take You Back To The Good Ole Days
EDITOR’S NOTE: This location has been closed until further notice.
When summer rolls around there’s nothing like taking a cool, refreshing dip in a local body of water. For some of us, that’s the beach. For others it’s one of the many lakes and rivers that exist throughout the state. But, one of our favorite ways to enjoy the great summer outdoors in New Hampshire is by jumping into an old swimming hole. Most of these have been around for so long that we’ve heard stories of our parents jumping in. For that reason, visiting this one is one part fun and one part appreciating our heritage!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
