Eating At This Local Tavern In New Hampshire Feels Like Going Out To Eat At Home
Eating out is always fun, but most of the time it feels like a special event. Hop in the car, drive to the restaurant, wait for a table, make your choice, and then enjoy a meal that’s unlike anything you’d make at home. We love that, but sometimes you just want something simple. That’s what you’ll find at this spot with locations in two different New Hampshire towns!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. Fody's Tavern in Derry and Fody's Great American Tavern in Nashua offer two dining experiences that will have you wishing you could eat out every night of the week!
You could say that Fody's in Nashua, the original, got its start all the way back in 1833 when the building it resides in was built. In fact, the restaurant is in the oldest building in the city!
In 1901 the building was moved across the street, which required horses and steel chains. It was turned into an upscale hotel and restaurant and the tavern officially got its start!
This is one of those restaurants that will make you feel welcome, which means you'll definitely be making plans to come back.
Fody’s Great American Tavernin Nashua is open 4:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. every day. You can reach them on 603-577-9015. Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
