This Family-Friendly New Hampshire Hike Has Stunning Lake Views

New Hampshire is known for its amazing hikes – but we’re not all up for the Presidentials, especially if we want to bring family along. But choosing an easier hike doesn’t have to mean sacrificing a sense of accomplishment and great views! There’s a fabulous little trail in Gilford that’ll give you both in spades, without requiring months of training beforehand.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

You can find the Lockes Hill Trail in Kimball Wildlife Forest at 2355 Lake Shore Road in Gilford. There’s a good parking lot right by the trailhead! To see a topographical map and more details about the trail, see the Alltrails page about it.
