Located in Franconia Notch State Park, this stunning hike will take you through some of the most fascinating scenery in the state. It’s also an easy hike the whole family will enjoy.
The Flume Gorge is an 800-foot-long gorge that has rock walls towering 70-80 feet above you.
It was discovered in 1808 by a 93-year-old woman named "Aunt" Jess Guernsey while she was out fishing. Nobody believed her until she could persuade them to come and see for themselves!

With boardwalks leading you through a stunning gorge, the views all along this hike are unforgettable.
You will travel one way around a two-mile loop through the gorge. The Conway granite walls will rise up on either side of you as you follow the water to the waterfall.
Make sure to print out the Scavenger Hunt while you walk through the Flume Gorge.
Children under six are free to come in and explore this wonderful area! Reservations are non-refundable, even if the weather isn’t great, so please keep that in mind when purchasing your tickets.
There are lots of stairs and uphill walking, so the trail usually takes about 90 minutes to finish.
