Echo Lake sits at the bottom of Cathedral Ledge in North Conway. The contrast of the lake's blue waters with the greens of the surrounding mountains is absolutely breathtaking.
And it's even more spectacular in the fall, when the reds, oranges and yellow of the changing leaves are reflected from the mountains by Echo Lake's blue waters.
Up close, the lake water is clear blue, inviting swimmers and boaters to come explore.
From a distance, however, the deep blue color of the water is visible. For the best view, head up nearby Cathedral Ledge, where you can take in a beautiful view of the lake.
