Route 302 Practically Runs Through All Of New Hampshire And It’s A Beautiful Drive

Route 302 runs east-west for 171 miles between Montpelier, Vermont and Portland, Maine, and a big portion of it runs right through New Hampshire.
In New Hampshire, you can pick up Route 302 from a bridge over the Connecticut River in Haverill. This begins your scenic drive through the Granite State.
Not only that, but this scenic byway takes you through the heart of the White Mountains. With such exceptional views along the way, you'll wonder why you haven't taken this drive sooner.
When you get to the town of Carroll, you'll drive through Bretton Woods which is surrounded by the White Mountains National Forest. Consider pulling off the route and going for a hike.
