When we have some free time our first thought is of what we can do to have fun. That usually involves friends and family, but it’s not always easy to decide what to do. With so many options, plans can sometimes feel overwhelming. And, as we all try to save more money these days it can be hard to find something that fits within the budget we’re aiming for. That’s why we love road trips. These are all fairly inexpensive, but offers lots of fun!

If you only have an hour or so, this quintessential New England road trip is perfect! Despite being just 36 miles it passes through some of the best scenery in the state. Plan on at least an hour in the car heading from Sanbornville to Conway. Make it extra special by adding stops at The New Hampshire Farm Museum and two wildlife Sanctuaries along the route. And if you have more time, plan on heading west to join the Kancamagus Highway.
